Thursday- Goodbye

Chassidim don't say goodbye. Today all the young shluchim davened ate breakfast and then received a tour of the Chabad house. The Chabad house in Barranquilla will iyh host an old age home. The young shluchim went through every single room. The tour was given by Rabbi and Mrs Liberow; a beauty indeed. Immediately after the tour the young shluchim from Venezuela had to go to the airport to catch their flights home. A circle of dancing broke out outside the Chabad house of "Tayere Brieder", there were teary eyes...... So now the question rearises where will the reunion be next. The young shluchim are counting the days.......

Wednesday

As camp comes to an end I sart to reminisce......... So it all started a week ago. Or did it? It feels like we all just got here and we already have to leave. Nobody is smiling anymore...... However today didn't start off like that.
Everyday here is exciting and today, (this is starting to sound cliche), was no different. Davening, breakfast, learning, lunch, snacks, and then started the pestering of the counselors; "what are we doing today?" Well , it started with Arts and Crafts, finishing the picture frames. Then it was off to Gamania - a place with a nintendo game for everybody. After 2 hours of fun it was back to the Chabad House for Supper. Night Activity was "Steal the Salami" with a special twist to keep it more fun. Then it was time for Maariv and an award ceremony. A mini farbrengen for the Young Shluchim (no food), was done by the counselors, and Rabbi and Mrs Liberow visited. Rabbi Liberow spoke how this was the most Shluchim Barranquilla ever had at one time. Every Young Shliach was given a Hayom Yom with Tzeirei Hashluchim, Barranquilla Colombia, gold stamped on its cover. They were also given a beautiful printed folder that contained every single paper printed throughout camp (song sheet, Vishomaita Bkolos, etc). A special thank you to the Young Shlucha S Liberow who kept everyone in the know with the happenings of the South American Reunion of the Online school for young shluchim in Barranquilla by managing this blog.......... So where will next year's reunion be? The young Shluchim are already fighting for the opportunity.........

Tuesday

Don't the posts bore you saying every day is a great day? Well what can we do? We don't want to change that. Today we kept up to our standards. Exceptional Davenings are the norm here. Online School was very in fashion, everybody extremely involved. Some more Balei batim came to visit and see this learning phenomenon.
Then there was the trip....... Today we went to La Jaula. When we told that to the THs they started complaining ...we dont want to go to the zoo... But this zoo is different, you are in the cage! Its a soccer field surroundedby gates! And a blast it was. The game was great, the shluchim invited some children from the community to join and the THs played by example. It was so much fun no one realized how much time flew by. Back at the Chabad House after supper the THs learned how to make Tzitzis and then had a Night Activity of FEE FIE FO FUM.... Now they are all excitedly anticipating what tommorrow will bring. Here we live one day at a time... so till tomorrow........
